Have you ever had a secret? Something so terrible, so dark, that it suffocated you, slowly destroying your life and leaving you emotionally starved, empty inside? For Pete's Sake takes you on a journey inside Joe's mind as he struggles with the truth. Tormented by the voices in his head and the memories from his past, Joe takes a comedic look at the tragedy in his life as he struggles to find understanding and free himself from an abusive past.

In August of 2008 Joe Capozzi shared with a group of friends a few pages of a story he had written. A true story about his 20 year old secret. With their encouragement and support he continued to write and four months later on December 6th, the first reading of For Pete's Sake was held at a sold out benefit in NYC. Since then the play has been invited to be performed in churches, colleges, theater festivals and conferences. Reshaping the play each time and developing it into what has been called an “artistic healing tool”.

For Pete's Sake is a story about secrets, and the weakness of humanity. It's about the healing power of humor, the importance of truth and ultimately about forgiveness.
